C.A.R.E. Program

Care for the Caregiver is accepting applications for the C.A.R.E. Program between October 1, 2025, and October 24, 2025. All Keck Medicine teams can submit a proposal to fund a project aimed at reducing burnout and building a stronger team.

• Only one application per team will be accepted.

• Clinical departments from Keck School of Medicine that work in the Keck Medicine environment may apply. Teams that have a blend of KSOM and Keck Medicine staff can apply. If you have questions if your team is eligible, please email CareForTheCaregiver@med.usc.edu.

• Funding requests for each team cannot be more than $50.00 per individual on the team. If you are a team of 100 or more, the maximum amount you can request is $5,000.00 

• Any funding that is awarded must be used during Fiscal Year 26 and before 6/10/2026.

• Due to the renovation efforts throughout the Keck Medicine of USC Health System, Wellness Spaces (onsite meditative retreats) are not an option this fiscal year.

• Projects cannot include the use of gift cards including pre-paid Visas or MasterCards to show appreciation to employees.

• Purchasing of alcohol is not permitted for FY26. 

We anticipate making funding decisions by December 19, 2025. Funding for your projects can only be spent between January 2026 and June 2026.

Prior to submitting, make sure that this submission is reasonable and desired by your team. You will need to submit another application if you change your project post the application period.
